Kyle, for his part, mixes feelings of awe - at being teamed with 'the greatest Green Lantern' - and self-pity, as he now feels that he's being pushed out of the limelight.
Hal winds up having some solo adventures in Kyle's time, including fighting Kalibak , another of Darkseid 's sons, when Kalibak tries to challenge Hal to prove his own skill, and Vince Hardy, an old acquaintance who Hal knew during his fighter-pilot days.
Hardy had fought against Hal for control of a fighter jet they were test-piloting, which Hardy intended to sell to arms dealers, but Hal fought him off and crashed the fighter jet, which resulted in him being discharged due to the need for a scapegoat for the lost plane, since Hardy had escaped during the fight.
Hardy now intends to send a plane to Seattle with a bomb supplied by The Eden Corps, a group of radical environmentalists who were responsible for Ollie's death.
Teamed up with the current Green Arrow, Connor Hawke - although he is shocked to learn of Connor's connection to Oliver-, Hal first loses his ring to Hardy, but eventually gets it back and saves the day with Connor's help, Hal preventing the plane from crashing into a mountain before capturing Hardy.
The two later visit Ollie's grave, reflecting on how they each feel like they have lost him twice, given the limited time Connor spent with him and the fact that Hal comes from a time before his friendship with Oliver was as close as it would become later.
The last two issues deal with Kyle vs. Hal vs. Parallax before the events of Zero Hour 0 , was jumping through space-time when he notices a disturbance and investigated.
Sensing his past self in a time when he shouldn't have been there, Parallax intends to send Hal back to his proper time.
Kyle fought against Parallax, but is unable to stop Parallax and Hal from squaring off against each other. After Parallax and Hal fight each other to a standstill- even travelling all the way back to Coast City mere seconds before it was destroyed as Parallax attempts to win Hal over-, Kyle intervenes yet again.
Kyle explained that both men had to go back to their proper places in time - and what's more, they had to have no knowledge of these experiences.
Hal refuses to go back if it meant that he would turn into Parallax, but Kyle explained that Hal had to go back- and Parallax had to go back, despite the fact that he would be defeated- because Parallax was needed to stop the Sun-Eater during The Final Night.
Acknowledging that he is proud have him carry on the Green Lantern tradition, Hal hugged Kyle, whispering to him "You'll know what to do with it", before all three joined forces: Parallax would be responsible for returning everyone to their proper place in time, Hal's ring would wipe his and Parallax's minds of these events, and Kyle's ring acted to boost their power.
With both Hal and Parallax back in their proper time - Hal having defeated Sinestro on his own and Parallax revealing himself as the main villain behind Zero Hour - Kyle reflects on recent events with Jen, his girlfriend All the Green Lanterns fight swarms of Shadow Demons as Krona, an enormous figure, rises from the sun.
Many Green Lanterns are killed and all others fall back. It is Arisia who devises a plan: if Krona is made of anti-matter then an equal density of matter will destroy him on contact.
The Green Lanterns fall behind the planet Oa and push it at Krona. Krona uses Shadow Demons to push back and the Corps finds itself stymied while taking casualties.
However, Mogo the Living Planet arrives and uses its own mass and Lantern Power to assist his comrades. Oa and Krona are forced into the sun and both are annihilated.
The prophecy of Oa's destruction is fulfilled, but Krona is destroyed and the Corps is saved. Mogo volunteers to be the Corps' temporary base as they build a new Oa.
Arisia is honored with an official entry into the Book of Oa for her heroic ingenuity, although she still has to report for Kilowog's training.

Verified Purchase. In it is the very first comic I ever read as a child, so that was very exciting. The most wonderful as well as most over-exploited thing about DC Comics is the long history of the characters.
That's not to mention the other GLs like the s John Stewart and the obnoxious but cuddly!! Guy Gardner. The usual view of comic creators and readers are somewhat like this: The Golden Age gave us the original concept, the Silver Age gave us the penultimate version of the character and the Modern Age version is either a farce or a personification of the fan-boy's hero-worship for the Silver Age version.
Case in point, Wally West, the current Flash - who is often portrayed as the substitute for the comic-fan who learn his "values" and "life-lessons" by emulating the oh-so-great Silver Age Flash, Barry Allen.
In a way, Wally's Flash is "legitimized" by Barry's approval of him at the end of the tale. Kyle Rayner, the current GL, however suffered the abuse of comic-readers who constantly call him a farce and pretender.
Looking at the character objectively, I have to say that Kyle suffered because of the fate of his predecessor than through any fault of his own.
You see, his predecessor, the beloved Hal Jordan went crazy and became this villain called Parallax long story - in short, the readers were none too pleased!
Long-time readers took out their frustration on Hal's replacement, Kyle - even to the fanatical level of forming a Jihad-like group called H. This volume here is another "Return of Barry Allen"-like response by D.
Did they succeed? Well, the results are pretty predictable. Hal shows up in Kyle's present-time. They go through several adventures together and meet up with a few "old" friends like the JLA, the current Green Arrow and the other "ring-bearers".
Kyle feeling like the fifth wheel now that Hal is welcomed back you'll never guess who comes to "comfort" him! And finally an encounter with the Parallax from Zero Hour don't ask!!
Ends with Hal saying how "happy and proud" he is of Kyle there Nothing overtly deep or anything here.
It doesn't really change anything. Except Kyle maybe. We finally get to see him meeting the "real" Hal Jordan and see how he measures up.
I don't think this story did much to appease the H. I just HAD to say that! But for a reader like me, I'm pretty happy that they did a story like that.

Jun 13, I found this movie to be very dull and boring as the main plot and Hal Jordan are pushed aside to tell mini stories about other members of the Green Lantern Corps, While the action was fun the stories just dragged too long and really spoiled what could of been a good main story if they stuck to it, Even my 6 Year old was bored and annoyed with the back stories, The ending was good but couldn't stop this being another missed opportunity involving Green Lantern.

Feb 25, Good animation and decent vocal chops aid in the competent telling of several short stories all revolving around members of the intergalactic police force known in the DC pantheon as the Green Lantern Corp.
The flaw in this superhero's development remains though, and that is: just what are the limits of his powers? How is it that after all these years no one has blueprinted this character?

A rip in the fabric of space threatens to unleash one of the greatest threats to the Green Lantern Corps. Additionally, the animation style has a lot of color and crispness to it.
Still, the episodic storytelling is formulaic, and weakness the overall plot. Green Lantern: Emerald Knights does an impressive job at creating an interesting mythology for the series, but it suffers as most anthologies do from a lack of cohesion.
